Bangkok 18 July to 21 July 2014

~~~18th July, Friday~~~
 Sa-wa-dee-ka! As usual, the day before I travel I will have insomnia! My flights are always in the morning so yes I dragged myself out of the comfy bed at 7am to get prepared. Also to spend a wee bit of time with my precious son.
 Hailed a cab to Changi Airport, checked in & dropped our baggage. Guess what?! I actually bought the wrong amount of kilograms for the baggage :( It's supposed to be only 20kg to Bangkok and total 45kg back to Singapore. Yes I bought the other way round.
Luckily I realized so that I can quickly buy online! Phew~
 In the plane, I listened to the songs I downloaded the night before while Baby played games. Shortly after I had a nap.
And voila, we're here at our destination, Bangkok! (: First thing we landed is to get the unlimited 7 days prepaid card. Teehees. That just proves how a slave we are to the phone!
 First stop was MBK Shopping Mall. Well it's my first time going on a holiday not proceeding to the hotel straight. Had some food as we are famished.
 Baby brought me to have this Chester's fast food restaurant chicken rice cos he claimed it's super delicious! This is after we had the lunch and walked around.
 Both our phone went on low battery and decided to let it charge while we're eating, hehe.
Checked in to The Berkeley Hotel. Well how's the lobby ;) I'm definitely in love with it. This is my second stay here. The first time I came is with Valerie Sweetheart.
 My Baby doing the check-in process, Oh, their front desk and concierge staffs are extremely pleasant and helpful! One of the reasons why it's good!
 Check out their spacious room! I booked for the Luxury Main Tower. They have another one which is the North Tower that is cheaper by about 10 sgd.
 Even the bathrooms are quite big & I love that it came with windows to the sleep area as I'm really afraid to be all alone in the bathroom! :p
After an hour of rest, we headed to Rod Fai Night Market. Well we had a hard time trying to hail a cab to get us there as it's quite far and all the cabs are unwilling to go through the traffic jams :(
 I do think it's a cool place but I didn't take any photos cos it's hard to capture a really nice one. There's a night market with stuffs that are mostly cheaper than elsewhere and most of the customers there are Thais. Also, they have a few bars that have live bands there.
We didn't walk for too long as Baby is feeling unwell. So we went back and bought some pain and fever relieving pills from the pharmacy at Pratunam area.
~~~ Day 2:19 July 2014 ~~~

Around 9am, Baby woke me up claiming that it's already 1130am!! :@ I quickly jumped up from bed to prepare. After realising it's still so early, I took my time. Haha!

Had wanton soup noodles at a roadside stall. Destination of the day is Chatuchak weekend market (:

Oh guess what, we decided to bring along a luggage there because it saves us the hassle & pain of carrying all the plastic bags! Yes it's definitely a great choice. Previously while in Bkk with Valerie sweetheart, our hands were all aching & sore from the heavy bags. Causing us to leave earlier back to the hotel to place our loots.

Above is the yummy duck noodle from Chatuchak Market

But of course this time round we shopped till our luggage is full! Mostly Babyjer's stuffs. I've learned not to buy almost everything I have my eyes set on, hehe.

Went back to the hotel to have a short rest.
Off to Chinatown to have our seafood feast! There all two main stalls, the one wearing all green is the most popular but the queue were too long and we're famished.

So, we chose to eat at the red seafood stall! I find the food is still fabulous but Baby says the green stall is much better.

Baby waiting for foooooood~
We ordered another plate of the BBQ prawns,

The craving I have since donkey months ago because most of the zichar stalls in Sg doesn't sell Dou Miao anymore :(
^ Salad Prawns
^ Tom yum soup

After our dinner, headed to to purchase bird nest. It's one of the famous thing there in Chinatown Bangkok.

Off to Siam Square Night market for some shopping.

Back to Hotel cos Baby is running a fever!
~~~ Day 3: 20 July 2014 ~~~
 Woke up to Baby energetic voice! Yes he recovered thanks to me taking care of him the previous night, hehe.
 Walked to Central World cos Baby was raving about this restaurant/cafe that he wanted me to try.
The restaurant name is Coffee Beans by Dao. If I remember correctly, it's located at the second floor. Yea we had a hard time finding cos Central World isn't small.
 Ignore my stoned face , tq.
 Check out the magnificent atmosphere! It's quite unique compared to others within a shopping mall.
 The sofa seatings with the cushions.
 Lemme take a selfieeee
 Baby is always overwhelmed during dining times & he ordered a tad too much for the two of us to finish it all.
 ^ Crabmeat ?
 ^ Tom yum soup, again. What is going to Thailand without ordering their specialities?
 ^ Glass noodles, I forgot the exact name.. Well it has a weird smell and Baby asked the waiter to remove clear this from our table... >.<
 ^ Garlic Chilli Prawns. Yums!!
 ^ Errr... I think this is crabs?
 ^ This is not all the food we ordered... Yes too much..
 ^ Strawberry shortcake
 & Coconut cake
Finished our sumptuous feast, next to Platinum Fashion Mall to get some loots!
To my dismay, I didn't buy much cos most of the clothes are not too much of my likings. Got some pretty heels though :D
 As usual, back to the hotel to place our heavy luggage.
Wanted to shop around huikwang night market but almost all of the stall are yet to open. SOBS T.T
So, we decided to give asiatique a go. As usual, had a hard time hailing a cab there as it's quite far and most of the drivers are unfamiliar with the new place.
 Welcome to asiatique! Bangkok's new tourist attraction!
We were greeted by this large sign. Well, we expect to take a boat there but the driver actually drove us straight to the destination.
The man standing next to me is not a statue! He's a real living person & when someone stands beside him to take a photo. He'll actually position himself nearer, with his actions mimicking a robot! Too cool!
Saw this ferris wheel and immediately, Baby went to purchase the tickets. Had a short walk around the shops then we headed to queue for the ferris wheel.
^ Ticketing booth
 ^ Prices for the ferris wheel. It's only 250 baht (About $9 SGD?) per adult! Yes it's cheap comparing to our's at Sg >.<
 ^ Long queue
 ^ Our tickets :D
 Us before entering the cabin, photo taken by the friendly crew ~
Oh & it's my virgin experience on the ferris wheel, yes I'm excited but more of scared the it started moving :(
 Selfies in the cabin to make myself calm from the moving thing!
 The view.
 After we alighted, Baby bought ice-cream and we chill around by the sea.
 There are many different boats ferrying people to different hotels.
Then, we saw this fancy boat & Baby insisted on boarding it. Guess what, in the end it brought us to Shangri-La hotel -.- We were so embarrassed but just go with the flow. Headed to the lobby, cabbed back to Pratunam.
Got off at Central World cos there's a night market. Walked our way to Indra Regent, yes it's far but Baby wanted to find the massage parlour he used to visit but we couldn't find.. Then we walked back to have chicken rice.
Back to hotel and unwillingly packed the luggage cos we're leaving the next day ):
~~~ Day 4, last day: 21 July 2014 ~~~

Woke up early to do some clearance packing. Headed to the lobby to check out at 12 noon. Left our luggages at the concierge.

Off to pray Four-faced Buddha > Eat > Hotel to get our luggage & back to Singapore.

YY came to fetch us from Changi airport to Ubi to collect our car.
