And if you need somebody

Yay! Finally I made the ultimate decision for Jarius' 1st birthday. The venue will be at NSRCC, National Service Resort Country Club. I engaged Baby's friend help on the booking as he is a member there. It does help a great deal in the savings!

After all, there is so much better although it's a tad hard to get there.

The array of facilities there & it allows catering will be more convenient & we don't need to worry about creating inconvenience to other lodgers.

 'Ahhh!' Yes he will repeat after me if I does that! He's slowly learning to mimic us so we must be careful not to instil bad impressions to him.

Google has been a great help to my motherhood, making it much more easier! I'm able to know when to introduce certain food to him & also what learning process should I start to teach him.

He's turning 10months in 3days but there's no signs of him teething which makes me a bit worried. After reading around some babies actually start teething even later.

Super love these wedges ^ Red & black velvet bought from Bkk.

Speaking of which, I'm flying in two weeks time. Baby will not be going with me cos he will be busy with his work :(

IF you realise, most of Jarius' pictures are blurred. Yes he is that active. Even changing diapers is becoming like the most difficult thing on Earth. Thus I've changed to Pull-ups for him. When he poos, I actually tear off the sides so the poo doesn't smear all over.

Last week with Sweetheart as we went sourcing for customised birthday cakes. To our dismay, the shop we wanted to order from doesn't make Mickey Mouse cakes because of some copyright thingy :(

As my hair starts to get brittle & breaks often, I decided to give Keratin treatment a try at Keen Hair Care Solution.

Headed down last Wednesday, was holding high hopes of getting my hair cured... But I was disappointed.

^ Above picture shows what happened to my hair aftermath. I don't have my before picture but previously it's still smooth & doesn't look that tragic :( I regretted not researching beforehand which I always do...

The keratin treatment they does is not suitable for too-overly damaged hair. So I googled when I got home and got to know there's actually many different types of Keratin hair treatment.

The supposedly treatment is to straighten hair as the hairstylist will straight-iron my hair after washing the treatment off. & the treatment actually emits chemicals during the process of ironing.

My hair is already chemically badly damaged hence it's unable to take such harsh procedure anymore.

Sigh, The worse part? My platinum ash base turns all yellow & gold-ish!!! I was in a shock when I left the salon & Baby kept laughing at me.

The outcome of my hair gone bad. Picture looks all okay but it's not. The colour looks like I just bleached, too yellow and yucky :( TAK BOLEH TAHAN!

Straight away, the next day I booked an appointment to Black Hair Salon for my stylist Nicky but he's too busy & I had to wait till Saturday.

Tadah~ Got a darker tone this round cos Nicky says it will not fade too quickly. Violet ash base. Below picture is more true to the actual colour.

Nicky trimmed off some of the really dried ends too. I guess I will need to do so for the next few months for my hair to resume it's healthy look.

Anyway I look much healthier in dark so I won't mind being in it for a couple of months before I go for blonde hair again ^^

Byeee~ I miss my ash blonde!

Red & white

I'm still so vexed over Jarius 1st birthday celebration! The venues are such a headache.

I really wish to book NSRCC but it's too inconvenient for the guests. And again, Orchid Country Club is a good choice but I can't order food catering & parties are not allowed to be held in their hotel rooms ):

Before, I actually thought of holding it in indoor playgrounds. The point is I don't have many kiddos friend and it would really be a waste!

I'm still pondering over the themes but this can be decide much later. Most probably will be either Mickey mouse Or Baby Mickey.

National day - Baby brought us out to Marina for the fireworks & so coincidently I wore red top and a white bottom :/

Wanted to snap shots with Jarius but he cannot stop moving! ):

We're supposed to watch from the bridge but got chased off by the guards cos they actually closed the bridge to prevent people from enjoying the most perfect view!! :@ In the end, our view from the ground is blocked by the trees. Pffft
Yesterday - Quickly prepared myself cos I woke at 2pm. Drove over to Bukit Panjang to fetch Valerie to Jurong Point. To our dismay, Kuishinbo is closed from 3pm to 530pm T.T We were so famished already!

We got Laoban to fill out tummy a little. Bought some toys @ kiddy palace. Finally at 530pm, we rushed to queue for Kuishinbo!

I wanted to get gold chain for Baby but seriously I rather not buy it. Shall think of another present for Baby's birthday, I still have about 3 months! Look at the picture above! For this thin, it's already 1.5k and it's quite short! Bad investment if I go for the heavier ones.

Shall go catch my last 3 episodes of 真爱遇到他!

Black Hair Salon X Steamboat n BBQ

Pardon for my man's silly face. He just love to pose with either a neutral look or a dramatic expression!

Two weeks ago on a Friday, I booked an appointment with Black Hair Salon with no preference of any stylist. Judging from Angeline's blog post on her several times with them, I'm more determined to get myself settled there.

Brought my son & maid along, not because I wanted to torture them to wait for me, it's because my maid wanted to go shopping. Black Hair Salon is located at The Bencoolen, in case you're unaware it's in the Bugis area.

Upon reaching, I was greeted and Nick was appointed as my hair stylist. I was quite excited & somehow afraid that the outcome would be not something I expected as I didn't exactly describe what I want.

Nick consulted me in regards to what type of hair colour I prefer. As I couldn't really make up my mind, he asked me to take my time as I needed to go through the bleaching process first to rid off my previous colour.

First round done. I was described as a Merlion from a stranger while I was taking a break before proceeding to the next process. I told Nick I would want something blonde on the outer layer and pink under layer. So, he picked Platinum Ash Violet & pink plus purple under layer. For the under layer, they're actually using another type of dye, 'Elumen'. I think it's something similar to crazy colour like LaRiche but personally I feel that Elumen is way better!

There will be other hair stylist assisting with the dyeing, washing & blow-drying as it will be much faster that way. Also Nick is quite busy that day!

 Tadah~

I absolutely loved the outcome!!! It's totally what I wanted and I was very more than impressed.
Nick specially mixed in purple so that the under layer wouldn't look too boring & did I forgot to say he's also very meticulous with my hair?!

Ya I know I mentioned platinum ash violet but the 'violet' can't be captured in photos! :(

How is it? Hehe. Super loving it and I kept going under different lights to try capturing the actual colour but it really does no justice.

Well I was also given a discount thanks to Angeline! :D Hehe!

 Now, 2 weeks has gone by and surprisingly my under layer has not faded yet. Some of my friends who dyed pink at other salons experienced the colour fade off within 2 weeks! The platinum ash violet has faded a bit to a more blonde look. I would definitely go back there to touch up!

 Last Sunday & Baby made a decision to have steamboat @ home. So off we go to AMK hub's NTUC to get our groceries shopping. He even bought this 2 in 1 BBQ & steamboat set. Vroomed home & prepared the foods.

Yes I'm dieting but there's too much food and I didn't want them to go to waste :p Teehee~

 Alright I need to get some sleep right now cos my maid is off tomorrow & that means I'm gonna be awake early to take care of my naughty bundle of joy!

Annyeong & goodnights XOXO

Bangkok 18 July to 21 July 2014

~~~18th July, Friday~~~
 Sa-wa-dee-ka! As usual, the day before I travel I will have insomnia! My flights are always in the morning so yes I dragged myself out of the comfy bed at 7am to get prepared. Also to spend a wee bit of time with my precious son.
 Hailed a cab to Changi Airport, checked in & dropped our baggage. Guess what?! I actually bought the wrong amount of kilograms for the baggage :( It's supposed to be only 20kg to Bangkok and total 45kg back to Singapore. Yes I bought the other way round.
Luckily I realized so that I can quickly buy online! Phew~
 In the plane, I listened to the songs I downloaded the night before while Baby played games. Shortly after I had a nap.
And voila, we're here at our destination, Bangkok! (: First thing we landed is to get the unlimited 7 days prepaid card. Teehees. That just proves how a slave we are to the phone!
 First stop was MBK Shopping Mall. Well it's my first time going on a holiday not proceeding to the hotel straight. Had some food as we are famished.
 Baby brought me to have this Chester's fast food restaurant chicken rice cos he claimed it's super delicious! This is after we had the lunch and walked around.
 Both our phone went on low battery and decided to let it charge while we're eating, hehe.
Checked in to The Berkeley Hotel. Well how's the lobby ;) I'm definitely in love with it. This is my second stay here. The first time I came is with Valerie Sweetheart.
 My Baby doing the check-in process, Oh, their front desk and concierge staffs are extremely pleasant and helpful! One of the reasons why it's good!
 Check out their spacious room! I booked for the Luxury Main Tower. They have another one which is the North Tower that is cheaper by about 10 sgd.
 Even the bathrooms are quite big & I love that it came with windows to the sleep area as I'm really afraid to be all alone in the bathroom! :p
After an hour of rest, we headed to Rod Fai Night Market. Well we had a hard time trying to hail a cab to get us there as it's quite far and all the cabs are unwilling to go through the traffic jams :(
 I do think it's a cool place but I didn't take any photos cos it's hard to capture a really nice one. There's a night market with stuffs that are mostly cheaper than elsewhere and most of the customers there are Thais. Also, they have a few bars that have live bands there.
We didn't walk for too long as Baby is feeling unwell. So we went back and bought some pain and fever relieving pills from the pharmacy at Pratunam area.
~~~ Day 2:19 July 2014 ~~~

Around 9am, Baby woke me up claiming that it's already 1130am!! :@ I quickly jumped up from bed to prepare. After realising it's still so early, I took my time. Haha!

Had wanton soup noodles at a roadside stall. Destination of the day is Chatuchak weekend market (:

Oh guess what, we decided to bring along a luggage there because it saves us the hassle & pain of carrying all the plastic bags! Yes it's definitely a great choice. Previously while in Bkk with Valerie sweetheart, our hands were all aching & sore from the heavy bags. Causing us to leave earlier back to the hotel to place our loots.

Above is the yummy duck noodle from Chatuchak Market

But of course this time round we shopped till our luggage is full! Mostly Babyjer's stuffs. I've learned not to buy almost everything I have my eyes set on, hehe.

Went back to the hotel to have a short rest.
Off to Chinatown to have our seafood feast! There all two main stalls, the one wearing all green is the most popular but the queue were too long and we're famished.

So, we chose to eat at the red seafood stall! I find the food is still fabulous but Baby says the green stall is much better.

Baby waiting for foooooood~
We ordered another plate of the BBQ prawns,

The craving I have since donkey months ago because most of the zichar stalls in Sg doesn't sell Dou Miao anymore :(
^ Salad Prawns
^ Tom yum soup

After our dinner, headed to to purchase bird nest. It's one of the famous thing there in Chinatown Bangkok.

Off to Siam Square Night market for some shopping.

Back to Hotel cos Baby is running a fever!
~~~ Day 3: 20 July 2014 ~~~
 Woke up to Baby energetic voice! Yes he recovered thanks to me taking care of him the previous night, hehe.
 Walked to Central World cos Baby was raving about this restaurant/cafe that he wanted me to try.
The restaurant name is Coffee Beans by Dao. If I remember correctly, it's located at the second floor. Yea we had a hard time finding cos Central World isn't small.
 Ignore my stoned face , tq.
 Check out the magnificent atmosphere! It's quite unique compared to others within a shopping mall.
 The sofa seatings with the cushions.
 Lemme take a selfieeee
 Baby is always overwhelmed during dining times & he ordered a tad too much for the two of us to finish it all.
 ^ Crabmeat ?
 ^ Tom yum soup, again. What is going to Thailand without ordering their specialities?
 ^ Glass noodles, I forgot the exact name.. Well it has a weird smell and Baby asked the waiter to remove clear this from our table... >.<
 ^ Garlic Chilli Prawns. Yums!!
 ^ Errr... I think this is crabs?
 ^ This is not all the food we ordered... Yes too much..
 ^ Strawberry shortcake
 & Coconut cake
Finished our sumptuous feast, next to Platinum Fashion Mall to get some loots!
To my dismay, I didn't buy much cos most of the clothes are not too much of my likings. Got some pretty heels though :D
 As usual, back to the hotel to place our heavy luggage.
Wanted to shop around huikwang night market but almost all of the stall are yet to open. SOBS T.T
So, we decided to give asiatique a go. As usual, had a hard time hailing a cab there as it's quite far and most of the drivers are unfamiliar with the new place.
 Welcome to asiatique! Bangkok's new tourist attraction!
We were greeted by this large sign. Well, we expect to take a boat there but the driver actually drove us straight to the destination.
The man standing next to me is not a statue! He's a real living person & when someone stands beside him to take a photo. He'll actually position himself nearer, with his actions mimicking a robot! Too cool!
Saw this ferris wheel and immediately, Baby went to purchase the tickets. Had a short walk around the shops then we headed to queue for the ferris wheel.
^ Ticketing booth
 ^ Prices for the ferris wheel. It's only 250 baht (About $9 SGD?) per adult! Yes it's cheap comparing to our's at Sg >.<
 ^ Long queue
 ^ Our tickets :D
 Us before entering the cabin, photo taken by the friendly crew ~
Oh & it's my virgin experience on the ferris wheel, yes I'm excited but more of scared the it started moving :(
 Selfies in the cabin to make myself calm from the moving thing!
 The view.
 After we alighted, Baby bought ice-cream and we chill around by the sea.
 There are many different boats ferrying people to different hotels.
Then, we saw this fancy boat & Baby insisted on boarding it. Guess what, in the end it brought us to Shangri-La hotel -.- We were so embarrassed but just go with the flow. Headed to the lobby, cabbed back to Pratunam.
Got off at Central World cos there's a night market. Walked our way to Indra Regent, yes it's far but Baby wanted to find the massage parlour he used to visit but we couldn't find.. Then we walked back to have chicken rice.
Back to hotel and unwillingly packed the luggage cos we're leaving the next day ):
~~~ Day 4, last day: 21 July 2014 ~~~

Woke up early to do some clearance packing. Headed to the lobby to check out at 12 noon. Left our luggages at the concierge.

Off to pray Four-faced Buddha > Eat > Hotel to get our luggage & back to Singapore.

YY came to fetch us from Changi airport to Ubi to collect our car.
